Links were changed to html format. How to revert?

My .doc file when open asks if I wish to update but all link has been
converted to html format (why i do not know).
How do I revert so that the picture will appear?

Hi C.G.,

If you're seeing text where the graphics should be try using Alt+F9 to switch between field contents and field results.
