Hi,

I have noticed an interesting problem with Entourage 2008. When a message
has an embedded link which has scripting arguments as part of the link, the
link does not display properly. Also when clicked, the incorrect details are
passed to the web browser.

Example:

http://www.domain.com/script.php?name=johndoe&location=au&age=20

is displayed as

http://www.domain.com/script.php?name=johndoe=au=20

Interestingly, if I view the message source, the link is formatted correctly
as A HREF="http://www.domain.com/script.php?name=johndoe&location=au&age=20"

I don't recall have had this problem with Entourage 2004, has anyone else
noticed/reported this problem?

Hi Lisa!

This is a known issue with Entourage 2008. Microsoft is investigating.
No ETA on a fix.

Hope this helps!

LinksHi Lisa,

If I am not wrong this issue is addressed in Office 2008 SP1. Do you have SP1 installed for your Office 2008.

thanks,

Pawan

Hi Pawan,

Lisa has already applied the SP1 update. If you check her message in
your newsreader and view the message source (in Outlook Express, I
believe it can be found under File>Properties), you will see that her
user agent string is "Microsoft-Entourage/12.10.0.080409", which means
that this version of Entourage 2008 is indeed SP1.

I have installed Service Pack 1, however, the problem exists either with or
without SP1.

Known problem. Look under View in the Menu bar --> Source

You can see the full URL.
