Linnks not working in Outlook 2001

I am in the process of migrating numerous Netscape users on Macs with
OS 9x to Outlook 2001 and Exchange 2003. For the most part it works
OK, considering the emasculated quality of this Outlook version
compared to the PC version, however I have run into a small number of
machines where, after the migrtion has taken place, the user is unable
to click on a link within an email and have Internet Explorer open to
the page.....in fact, the mouse does not even indicate that the link
(in blue within the message) is an actual link........I have even
downloaded and installed the latest flavour of IE but no
improvement........this is only happening on a few machines out of the
couple of hundred I am migrating....what's more....not all links
within a given message act this way........any ideas???

Thanks

Rob

What kind of link? Outlook 2001 doesn't handle complex HTML or embedded
hyperlinks. The only links that will work are fully-qualified URLs.

try trashing the prefs for the Internet control panel, probably corrupt.
that's where the file helper/mappings are retained for MS
