Dear Friends ,

I would like to have a detail of Linux Operating System .At present i am
operating Windows Xp Professional O.S. And i have a software like , V.B ,
Sql. ODBC Server ,Crystal Report , Tally and M.S Office packages Like
Acceess . Can any one pls tell me , all the programming language and
networking system will proferly run in Linux Operating System ? And What
about Internet and Mail server like M Demoan and How much safe this Linux
O.S for Virus Protection .

Gee, I am not sure what kind of details, and how much information you want.
However, this is a newsgroup devoted to ms-access, and thus you will find
very few users here that can help you answer the above question.

I would suggest you try one of the newsgroups devoted to Linux, as you will
get much better information then you would in a group that is for ms-access.

M.S Office packages Like Acceess

There is nothing remotely like ms-access for Linux. At one time Kylix showed
a lot of promise, but developers simply did not use, or jump on this
"Delphi" for Linux. This is a rather large failure for delpi and Linux. So
many have always stated that if Linux had a nice rad tool like ms-access, it
would really take off. To this day I am still wondering why the mix of Kylix
and Linux was such a failure.
