We're in the process of changing our Office 2003 installations from using an
administrative install point to LIS for patching purposes. I'm using the
new EntSetup.exe to do a CACHEONLY install in preparation for changing
everyone.
Question #1 - How can I get SP2 into the cache? Do I have to put it there
separately?
Question #2 - My custom MST came down with the CACHEONLY install, but
setup.exe and setup.ini did not. When I do get SP2 into the cache, how can
I chain it to my base install?
I've been through MS's Office web site several times reading about LIS.
There's a lot of good info there, but there's also a bunch of dead ends.
Statements like "you can cache the code then do the install" and "you can
chain SPs in the install", but the don't really tell you how to do it. Just
that it's possible.
Thanks,
