Running Office Professional 2003 and FrontPage 2003. I was unsuccessful
applying Office Updates and it suggested run the LIS Tool. It asks for the
original source. I was able to point it to the correct folder for FrontPage,
but I can't figure out what folder it's looking for for Office Professional
2003. Does anybody know?

Thanks,

Does it give you a file name it is looking for?

Office 2003 by default will search for its source files under a hidden folder
called MSOCACHE (commonly knows as LIS). Obviously, the LIS is corrupted and
thats why its aksing to create a new LIS. You can download LISTOOL.EXE from
Office website and create a new one however that requires access to source
files again.

Now, to answer the question on where to find the information on the original
source, you need to go to start > run > regedit.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\904xxxxxxxxxxx\SourceList.. .on the
right hand side, you need to check where its pointing to on "last used source"
or
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\904xxxxxxxxxxx\SourceList\Net.. On the
right hand side, you need to find the location mentioned under the name "1".
or
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\904xxxxxxxxxxx\SourceList\Media... On
the right hand side, check if the media has been used to do the original
installation.

NOTE:
****
XXXXXXX mentioned above could be anything. Actually, if you hightlight on
the entry, we can see "product name" on the right hand side. For office 2003,
it will start with "904xxxxx" entry.

Let me know if you need more help.

That's exactly what happened, but I couldn't figure out which file or folder
it was looking for on the DVD.
