List Numbering in Word

I have a HUGH over 330 pages w/graphics and list numbering
as it is policies, therefore
1.
then
a)
then
iii)

i have created list number style not using the template
(creating w/no style) hoping that this would stop the
problem... but it doesn't

any ideas?

Andrea,
There are a couple of ways to proceed:
1. You can use Word's built in numbering and bullet list
and /or outline features... or:
choose the "format" pull down menu then select "tabs".
Set the tabs to the indent you wish then use the tab key a
given number of times from the left margin to get the
indent you need for the level you are working at.
If you are workint just one level you can place the 1 at
the left margin, add your period or endash or whatever,
then use the "hanging indent at the top ruler to control
where the next line wraps to.
