List of fonts used in a Word document?

Hi,

Is there a method in Word or a third-party utility that lists all fonts
that are used in a Word document?

Peter

If you click on the arrow next to the Fonts window on the toolbar a drop
down list will appear. Is this what you want?

No, that's not it. An example to make it more clear: Let's say I wrote
a document and formatted some text parts with the font Arial, some with
Times New Roman and some with Tahoma (of course, this is a simplified
example). Then, I would like a list containg the entries Arial, Tahoma
and Times New Roman.

If you don't feel like writing a macro to enumerate them all, you can
get an approximate idea by scrolling through the styles in use.

If you did write a macro, it could be quite cumbersome, and very slow
with long documents. Maybe someone will know whether the font
information can be more cleanly extracted from the document file.
