Hi all
My system is used by approx 30 people as a standalone db on laptops. They
are all based in different countries and use different printers, some use
more than one printer as they have one in the field and one at home etc plus
a PDF printer eg Cute PDF. It is impossible for me to know the name of their
printers to hard code (except perhaps the PDF if they all have Cute). We ask
them to change their default printer manually in windows before using a
button which automatically prints large reports, to ensure if prints to the
correct device required.
One user has complained about this, he wants to be able to select which
printer at the time of print.
I did think about capturing their default printer and changing this to Cute
for those reports (and back again afterwards) but that works on the
assumption they have cute installed and they always want to use that, rather
than an attached printer. I was wondering if you can have a combo box in
Access populated by installed printers and use this to select a printer
before pressing a button to auto print?
There are two buttons on the report menu which print direct to a printer
without previewing the report first, one is a single report and one prints a
group of reports.
Thanks in advance for any help.
