How do I get a complete list of the file names of all the pictures in my PPT?
It's a 100 pages and has about 60 pictures.
Unless the pictures are linked, this isn't possible.
PowerPoint doesn't keep the filenames of pictures that you embed (ie, insert
normally via Insert, Picture, From File).
If they're linked, you can get at the source filenames using VBA in previous
versions or Windows versions, but not in PPT 2008. No VBA. Someone might be
able to do the job with Applescript.
The free demo of our FixLinks add-in will give you a listing of all the links in
your presentation but you'd have to run it on a Windows PC.

But again, this only works with LINKED images.
