listbox navigation

When using a list box my users want to type the start of the list and get to
that field. For example list of Apple,Adam,Gary they would have to type A
twice to get to Adam rather than "AD". Is there a way around this problem.

many thanks

This is a classic issue with the traditional html drop-down control which is
what InfoPath uses. We've been spoiled by the drop-down combo boxes such as
those implemented by Access. I've seen java-script for creating this on a
web-page, but I doubt it'll work very easily in InfoPath since you don't
have quick access to the options in a select box via code.

Hi Mike,

Greg is right, you won't be able to do this with InfoPath built-in control.
You could design your own ActiveX control, but it seems overkill for what you
want to do.
