listing of documents in folders

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel At the moment when I save a document into a folder the document is saved last in the list or at the bottom of the folder when I use Icons

I want to know how to make the documents appear at the top with older documents underneath

The captions in List View [Name & Date Modified] are sort buttons. Note the
triangle that appears on one caption or the other. One click sorts in
Ascending order based on that column, a second click reverses the order.
