Lists of standard data

I was once showed this in a class but I have now toally
forgot most of it. I hope I remember it correctly.

Anyway, doesn't MS Office applications somehow a feature
that will help standardize the order of a list -- like
months. I entered my own list and when I sort by it, the
query sorts the months alphabetically. (Access 2000)

Is there a way to enter data like that that will keep the
data in a standard order?

Access is doing exactly what you asked it to do; sort it alphabetically.
Access doesn't see the values as months and order them accordingly and don't
expect it too. What you need to do is a field to your table on months and
enter numerical values for each month and sort on the month number and not
the month text.
