Listview length of item name

Hi,

I have a listview control (version 6), it is set to report view, so it just
shows a vertical list of items. I have noticed that some item names seem to
be too long for the control and the listview end the names with trailing
full stops, for example;-

I am a great big item on a lisview control

just shows;-

I am a great big item o...

Is there a setting anywhere to get around this?
