lit converter for office 2007

What is lit?

Word 2007 may be operated in compatibility mode - where it uses the doc
format compatible with previous versions. Alternatively, you can download a
suit of add-ins for previous versions that will recognize and open Word 2007
format.

As for lit, I have never heard of it.

There has not been any updates to the Read in Microsoft Reader Add-In for Word since version 1.1. That version will work in Word
2007 (the 'buttons' appear only in the 'Add-ins' tab) to produce .LIT (e-book) files, as long as you don't select the 'Convert to
Microsoft Reader Formatting' choice if it doesn't find MS Reader installed.

This is only a part solution. When you unselect the "Convert" key, it means
you will not be able to change the font size when you view the file in
Microsoft Reader.

Hi Steve,

The 'Read in Microsoft Reader' add-in for Word is created by the MS Reader folkds. They haven't that I recall done an update for
Word 2007. You may want to check with the folks in the MS Reader discussion group to see if they have any additional information.
It's possible that as there are 3rd party .LIT file creation tools that MS may be letting those folks take the lead in that area.
