little blue box with >>

I have word 2002. Up until the other day my documents etc looked fine. All
of a sudden in the bottom left of all my docs I have a little blue box withdocs, pics etc. I don't know how to insert what it looks like but I need
help to fix it. I also can't do a systme restore because my pc does it for
me when ever it wants, it doesn't allow me to pick a specific time to create
a restore point to fix this.

Any suggestions on what this little blue box is with the >> in it?

It has nothing to do with Word, crash or no crash. The blue box with
the chevron (>>) is added to file icons by the Norton 360 program to
show that the file has changed since the last backup. Files that have
been backed up have a checkmark in a green box.
