live messenger a sabotage?

i installed the live messenger
and suddenly can no longer query
my old hotmail and msn account
from o.e.

is this by design on the new
live messenger?

i read the following info at this link
but not sure if it applies to my issue
and if i can resume quering my old accounts
again via o.e.

Sorry, you'll want to go over to microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general to
find out about OE support. It's a different product from Outlook.
