Live Sharing confusion

I really have looked around for this information, I promise.
Here's the scenario:
I start a ON live share session with a coworker. I know when I am offline
she can view the section but cannot edit it. She can attempt to reconnect but
has failed so far unless I resend an invitation. I was under the impression
that she be able to reconnect without another invitation.
Also, can I UNshare with her? Or rather STOP sharing? Does she have to drag
that section to one of her notebooks to make it hers? If she does that, will
it stop indicating that it is involved in a live sharing session?
Any help with live sharing would be appreciated. I work in a school district
where there is one person in my position in each school. We collaborate
constantly and this is a great way to do that. If only I could better
understand live sharing.

Additional participants in a live sharing session can only edit the
content when the host is online and is participating in the sharing
session. Depending on your network configuration (whether or not you
have a static IP address), you might not need to send another invite,
but you do need to start a new shared session.

To stop sharing, all you need to do is disconnect from the shared
session. Your coworker can also drag the section out of the shared
sessions and she will be able to edit it, but will not be able to
reconnect to the shared session with that section (if she does
reconnect, she'll get another copy of the section).

That said, it sounds like a better option for you would be to use Shared
Notebooks. That would allow both of you (or any number of other
participants) to work on the same section, without the other one having
to be online. If you have a file share that both of you can access you
can create a new notebook on that share, then open it up from both
computers and your changes to that notebook will automatically
synchronize whenever you are online. If you don't have a file share
available you can use one of your computers as the host for the
notebook, but then that computer would have to be online in order for
the other one to sync changes.

I have a follow-up, so I'll try to light this thread up again...

We have done a couple of tests with live sharing, and found other methods
work much better for what we're trying to do. Now however, I have a "Live
Shared Sections" item in my Notebook bar, which seems to contain cached
copies of the sections shared from the old host. I can't figure out how to
get rid of this item, or it's content. How do I tell OneNote to dump these
old sessions?
