load customized stationery into outlook 2007

Want to create a customized stationery with my logo for emails. In outlook
2007 the themes are 'grayed out' so I can't even used microsoft stationery.

Tried doing a copy and paste into signatures but emails are rejected by
recipients

Do you have Word 2007 installed? I think that's required to use themes.

I HAVe the same issue -
I have installed Word 2007 -
I have been able to save my E.Mail Theme into the word file -
I still cannot get Outlook 2007 to allow me to update the mail format as it
says Themes are not installed.
Tried to do it in Add/Remove - however after makeing the change and
restarting Outlook still does not acknowledge themes have been installed.
HelP?

Did you install Outlook and Word 2007 from the same Office 2007 package? If not, I don't think themes will work.

If so, then please explain exactly what you mean by "save my e.mail theme into the word file"

Hi Sue and Thanks for your response and enquiry
Outlook 2007 came from the MS Live "Free" upgrade -
Upon instaling that I find that MS is only using this "Free" upgrade to
force one to purchase the Office 2007 Suite in order to activate all of the
outlook 2007 modules.
So I downloaded the OFfice 2007 Suite 60 Day "Free" Trial -
Got Word to active Themes however Outlook does not recognize the Word
activation.
I have been a LOYAL and PAYING MS Customaer and follower for years -
Now I find from HOURS with MS "Help" that Ii cannot un-install Outllok 2007
and go back to my PURCHASED MS Office 2003 Professional Suite so will
probably have to purchase the MS Office 2007 Suite in order to continue -
IF I can find a way out of MS to comparable programs and ethical marketing I
may take it - Perhaps to Apple?

There should be no reason you can't remove Outlook 2007 and reinstall Office 2003, assuming you still have the media and CD key. If you try it but run into problems, start a new topic thread with the details.

My Microsoft Office suite came with my computer -
My Upgrade to Office 2003 Professoinal is in a separate disk - proven to be
authentic by MS -

"They" (the "Help" folks with the accents who cannot seem to ever find my
case number thread so we have to always start over from the beginning) tell
me to un-install all previous MS Office programs and reload from the original
disks and possibly not be able to save my outlook info cuz it has converted
(and then of course all of my settings wll be gone)

I truly believe it would be ever so much easier and customer friendly for
Billy G's company to allow all MS 2007 Office installs to work with one
another - however I realize that is not his appraoch to life as then we as
his customers would not have to buy "upgrades" that we don't really need in
order to use the one module we do want.
Oh well - Microsoft Wins Again - Fair nor not they win the $$$ -
NOT the previous respect nor esteem they once held but the $$ never-the-less.

I'm an Outlook user (since 1996) trying to help other users. That's how these groups work. They are peer-to-peer discussion forums where people share what they've learned and try to help each other out.

I am assuming with your non -follow up response that my "Free" Outlook

and employ Themes ?

I addressed that issue in my original response:

To clarify, for themes to work, you would need to remove the standalone copy of Outlook 2007 and install both Outlook and Word from the trial version.

In that situation, if you want to go back to Office 2003, you would need to remove Office 2007, install the version of Office that came with your computer, then install the Office 2003 upgrade.

Removing and reinstalling Outlook will have no effect on your existing data file(s). Your mail profile settings also will be intact, although because there are differences in the way different versions handle various types of accounts, it's usually a good idea to start fresh with a new mail profile.
