Project Server 2003.
Hello. Becuase our portfolio analyzer is not working properly, we are trying
to create a view for department resource loading, we created a project with
no tasks, but when builiding the team, included all of the department
members. By using the resource usage and having the "Load Summary Resource
Assignments" on, we thought that opening this project we could see all work
per person, broken down into project as subtasks. Which we can, but the
information is somewhat different than what is displayed in each of the
actual project files for a given resource. For instance, the real project and
the loading project both show the same amount of work, from the present back,
but the loading project shows additional work to be done in the future, which
is not in the actual project file. This does not appear to happen on every
project, only certain ones. Does anyone know why this would be or has anyone
used this technique successfully?
Thanks,
DC
