Loading Data... no display

Data is not being displayed in several tools in the Admin section of Project
Server. I see a box with "Loading Data..." in it. It does not timeout or
anything.

This is a new install of Project Server 2003. My user account is an
administrator for everything Project Server uses (SharePoint, SQL Server,
Windows).

It's a shot in the dark, but I have seen this happen when the SMTP server
setting in PWA does not specify Port 25.

This can also happen if your workstation doesn't have the latest version of
MDAC installed.

Have you been able to get beyond this problem and if so how? I am running
into a similar problem after having migrated my Project Server 2002 and
Sharepoint team services application to 2003.

Problem resolved. Turns out that the MSADC site must be an excluded from the
Virtual Servers Managed paths. This can be accomplished via accessing the
Sharepoint Central Administration, then select configure virtual server
settings. From the list select the default (or target website)he target
virtual server (in my case the Default Website) then select Define Managed
paths, under the heading Virtual Server Management. Add /MSADC as an excluded
path.

It appears that any PWA page that presents grid bound data will exhibit this
problem, unless the MSADC site is excluded.
