My problem is.
On Project Manager comptuer (reinstalled month ago) during Approving Hours
there is information "Loading grid.." There is nothing else beside that
information like loop. We tried manay different tricks and problme seems to
persist. The stranger is that that problem exist not only on one computer.
User log on on different computers (also try Citrix). But no metter what kind
of computer is used problem persist.

Do you know how to solve that isse? I stuck and need solution asap.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi Rafal,

We are experiencing similar issues and have a few work arounds;

1) When you get atuck at the "Loading grid..." dialog go ahead and click the
text on the right side to close the window. This will accept the task
updates.

2) Restart Project Pro and your browser if it is running in the background.
This sometimes corrects the problem.

3) Run Microsoft Office Diagnostics. Launch it from Start->All
Programs->Microsoft Office->Microsoft Office Tools->Microsoft Office
Diagnostics. I believe the last of 24 diagnostics actually repairs either
..net or activeX controls. Not sure of that but this always corrects the
problem. But be prepared as the diagnostics takes about 20 minutes to
complete, and it is the very last diagnostic that fixes it.

Hi Rafal,

I have experienced a similar (reproducable) problem some months ago before
applying CU December. The issue is gone now. Perhaps you have the same
situation? A resource has never worked on a task and only modified remaining
work to 0. This update line caused approval page to stay as "grid loading".

Even if your situation is different, I expect a line to be strange. You
could try the following:
- find a computer where approval page still opens for this user
- approve line by line to identify the causing one (at the moment the page
doesn't come back, you found it ;-))
- open project plan, change 'Publish' to 'No', and publish. Note:
unapproved updates are gone at that moment
- check if approval page will be opened now
- change back to 'Yes', re-publish.

Good luck!

Hi Rafal,

I was afraid of that. If I remember correctly, this page opened if there had
been any 'normal' updates included. So I see two possiblities:
- Your PM can remember, which task was the only one on this page (if he used
'select all' it will not help ...)
- You create one update for this PM to get page displayed and to see the
corrupted line.

Since I cannot re-produce any longer, I am not sure how this update looked
like in the datebase. If my above suggestion does not work, let me know.
Then I will think of other solutions.
