I am trying to load Microsoft Office Professional '95 on
my laptop. My operating system is Windows XP Home
Edition 2002. The setup stalls once the files start
updating. There is no error message, it just sticks and
I press Control-alt-delete to escape. Can I load this
old of a version of the application and if so, how do I
do it? Also, is it worth it? I need the powerpoint appl.

The problem COULD be that Office 95 is trying to overwrite files, DLLs, etc
that are a lot older than what came with XP and XP won't let it and that's
causing the lockup.

PowerPoint does come as a standalone program and as part of Office XP.
