Luckily for you, Microsoft already knows about and has a solution available
for your. Check out this Knowledge Base article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[ln];875556

The part you are most interested in is about 1/3 of the way down the article
under "Workarounds". It reads:
Note Toshiba provides a compressed image of the OneNote CD on the "Toshiba
Recovery and Applications / Drivers" DVD that is located in the following
folder:
CDROM Drive\COMPS\MICROSOFT OFFICE ONENOTE 20030\MANUAL

See if doing what the KB article says helps with getting the download. You
really want it - the new date stuff is only one of many new features you
will want to play with.

Even if you aren't using a Toshiba machine, the path to the CAB file should
be similar. If you can't find it, let us know which laptop you are having
problems with and we'll see what we can do!

Thank you Kathy, I was not able to locate the files on the recovery disks
provided with my Averatec C3500 but I was able remove the program and reload
the trial version. I may have a new question however I have not been able to
create outlook tasks. The option is there in my tools but all functions are
grayed out. Is it possable that the trial version does not support this
function?

Do you have Outlook 2003 installed? That's the only version of Outlook that
OneNote knows how to talk to. You also can only do the Outlook stuff if you
have SP1 installed. (Which is what caused this whole thread in the first
place :) )

I think you might need to talk to Avertec to find out how to get that CAB
file.

The new trial version includes SB1, but I am currently using Outlook 2002.
I'll fix that and I should be up and running.

Thank you again.
