Local Distribution Lists

Q

Q

Can anyone describe how to import a local distribution
list that had been saved as an .rtf file? What happened
was that I performed a Save As on a local DL, in which it
automatically saved the file as an .rtf document. How do
I import it back into Outlook on another user's machine?

Thanks,

There is no way to do this directly. You might be able to open the .rtf document in Word, massage it into a comma- or tab-delimited format, use that to import the contacts into Outlook, then rebuild the DL manually.

The correct format to use when making a copy of a DL is .msg, not .rtf. Even then, it may not work properly on another user's machine.
