Local FP Extensions

As far as I know, I do not have FrontPage extensions installed on my
computer. My ISP does, and I have no problems publishing my website
from my computer to the ISP. Why would I want FP extensions installed
locally on my computer? What would it give me that I don't have now?
Windows XP Pro SP3, FP2000 SP3.

Actually you probably do have extensions because FP uses them for things
like dwt's etc.

However, having IIS and extensions installed allows you either work directly
in a server based web or publish a disk based web to http://localhost You
then have a server based web and can check all web functions including asp
pages directly on your machine.
