I am a software architect at Pegasystems Inc. Our mainstream product is IE6 /
IE7 browser based "thin" client with "seamless" MS Office integration.
Currently we support Office 2002 and Office 2003.
We open local Office documents EMBEDDED inside IFrame elements in our HTML
portal using syntax: IFrame.src = Local_Office_Document_Path
After I have installed Office 2007 Beta, the above operation causes expected
"File Download" security warning dialog. I click "Open", but the document is
opened EXTERNALLY. The IFrame remains empty.
Embedded mode is critically important to our many Fortune 100 customers.
I have played with IE security settings and Office 2007 Trust settings to no
avail.
Good people at Microsoft. Please fix this before the final release version
of Office 2007. Thank you!
