Localization timings of Office 04

Dear friends,
does someone know when the Office 04 localized versions will be
available?
I am from Italy and I have the English Office X (the Italian version for
Office X was never released, but it has been announced for Office 2004).
I want to upgrade ASAP. Do you think that I can buy the 04 English
upograde and then, fro free, the Italian upgrade?

I doubt you'd be allowed to have two different versions of Office 2004 for
the price of one upgrade. I'm pretty sure you won't. Just be patient a
little while. The way Office upgrades work each version is a complete
install - you won't be allowed to "upgrade" to Office 2004 Italian from
Office 2004 English, only from "any version of Office v. X "or earlier. The
release dates for localized versions have not been announced yet but I don't
think they will be much more than weeks away - or at most a couple of
months. Just wait until a release date for Italian is announced. It's even
possible that the official release of Office 2004 - which has not yet
occurred - will include a timetable for localized releases. You really won't
have very long now to find out if that's the case. Keep checking MacTopia
until official release is announced.

or 2001. It's often impossible to answer your questions otherwise.
