Location of Personal Address Book in different versions of Outlook

I need to switch between different combinations of Op sys and Office version.
I am able to do this with Norton Ghost, but to retain continuity on e-mail I
must store my messages and contacts outside my profile. I have moved my pst
file and pab file in Outlook 97. Now I need to make Outlook 2000 and Outlook
XP point to the same locations. Can anybody help?

That is usually a multi-step process:

1. Open your preferred PST in Outlook (File|Open|Outlook Data File). When you
open it, change the name from "Personal Folders" to something more descriptive
such as "Main Folders"

2. Set your preferred PST as the default delivery location.
OL2000 CW - Delivery Tab of Tools|Services
OL2002 - see the main E-mail Accounts dialog
3. Remove the unwanted personal folder set that Outlook creates by default
OL2000 - Services Tab of Tools Options
OL2002 - File|Data File Management

The easiest way to switch between different combinations of Operating Systems
and Office Versions is to use a Virtual Machine product like VMWare or MS
Virtual PC. You can bring up any combination of Operating System and Office at
any time without rebooting.
