location of word dictionary

word dictionary help

For the last two years I have been adding medical terminology and drug names
to the dictionary for correct spelling how can I download this in case my
computor should ever crash that i would be able to have these on disc.

word dictionary help

Johnathan,
This is the location but I need to be abld to download to a disc for saving
of my dictionary and to use on all three of the computers I work on. Can you
help me to download this file.

If you open the file for editing as described in that article, you can save
it wherever you want by using File, Save As. Also by using the Save As
dialog you can see exactly where the file is. It will probably be in the
following location

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\Microsoft\Proof\CUSTOM.DIC

where <username> is the name you are currently logged on as a user.

This folder is not necessarily easy to find as the Application Data folder
is usually configured as a hidden folder.
