When I look inside my Entourage 2008 Identities folder and open the database
located inside each of 3 different ones, what opens does not match the
Identity that I am actually using, i.e., none of them is updated to the
latest content. I don¹t understand how that can be. The reason I ask is that
one of my methods of backing up Entourage is to copy the Identity to an
external archive drive. Now I don¹t think I have been copying the right
thing. Where am I going wrong?
Also, in order to test my rebuilt identity of a few weeks ago, I exported it
to an .rge file. It completed without problems. I expected it to be on the
desktop, and when it wasn¹t I searched for it using Spotlight. It was buried
several layers deep in a documents folder that has nothing to do with
Entourage. Is that normal? Can I store it on my archive drive in the hope
that it might provide a decent backup someday? Obviously copying my Identity
won¹t since none is updated.
Thanks.
