Lock Actual Work?

We're using Microsoft Project Professional 2007 in a Server 2007
environment.

The actual work that resources have entered against project tasks drive
our department financials. We're running into the challenge that actual
work in May and April is changing. Is there a way to lock actual work
for a specific time period in a project? (I.E., don't change actual
work prior to to June 15th, etc.)

In the future, please post your Project Server 2007 questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is dedicated to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To "lock" actuals in the
past using Project Server 2007, the only way to accomplish this is to set up
and use the built-in Managed Time Periods functionality. Refer to the
following Project Server Help blog posts about setting up this
functionality:

How you set up Managed Time Periods depends on whether you want to use the
My Timesheets functionality or not. Hope this helps.
