lock down for Officeupdate

Stefan Dieter

Does anybody know if there is a possibility do deny a user access to the new
automatically officeupdate plug-in.
Like e.g. the ability to lock down windowsupdate.microsoft.com using Group
Policy.

We are using administrative updates for Office 2000 and do not want our
users to install updates and such on their own.

thanks & rgds

Yes, you can lock out the sites for both Office Downloads and Windows
Update. You should find it in the Group Policies for Windows 2000.
