Lock down forms fields

R

Rick

I am creating a form using text forms fields (Word 2000).
When two forms fields occupy the same line one moves right
when the one on the left is being typed into.

Is there a way to lock down the location of these fields
so that the overall formatting of the document doesn't
change? These forms fields work fine as long as I put them
on their own line but when they share a line it's chaos.

TIA - Rick

Hi Rick,

Insert a table (Ctrl+Alt+U will turn off the borders if you don't want them)
and put each field into its own cell.

And set the row the cell is in to an Exact height so that pressing Enter
doesn't mess up the form vertically.
