Lock down remaining work field in timesheet view

Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to lock down the remaing work field in the
timesheet view. I am assuming this may be a problem later on with project
users attempting to change the amount of time they have for each task. I
have the reporting in "customize project web access" set to "Hours of work
done per day or per week". This opens remaining work as an editable field.

If you don't want your team members to adust the Remaining Work estimate in
the PWA timesheet, you should simply hide that column by customizing the
Timesheet view. Log into PWA and click Admin - Customize views. You will
find the Timesheet view at the bottom of the data grid. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale,

I do want them to see the field though. If that is not possible, then I
will remove it. But I wanted to know if I could lock it down before I did
anything else.

No, you cannot lock this field. Therefore, you can hide it or you can make
it a training and performance issue. Hope this helps.
