I created a table in a word document. 3 rows by 2 columns.

Is it somehow possible to lock the table such that if I hit tab in the
last cell nothing will happen. Right now if I hit tab there I will get
a new cell

Sorry, Anthony, perhaps someone can offer you a VBA solution, but there is
no setting or Table Property that will change this behavior. Although you
can prevent additional rows from _displaying_ by using a text box or a frame
to contain the table, it doesn't prevent the errant rows from being created.
In fact, it just makes it likely to inadvertently create even more rows
since you can't view them & leads to other problems as well as confusion.

If you accidentally add an unwanted row just Command+Z to Undo it. That's
the best "workaround" I can offer.

No, Bob is correct: you cannot constrain the size of a table.

Use Fillin Fields instead.

You can look them up in the Word Help for more detail.

Cheers
