Above the list of received Email messages in Outlook are the column headers
(typically From, Subject, Date, etc). These column headers provide a static
title bar as one scrolls through the list of messages as well as control
sorting of the message list. If one is aiming for the top message in the
list, one may occasionally miss and accidentally click a column header. This
causes the message list to be resorted. If one has a complex view
configuration (grouped lists, specific sorting, etc), this one click will
undo that config and switch to a flat sorted list. This is quite annoying.
This column header bar should be lockable just like the Windows Task Bar or
the Toolbars in Internet Explorer. This would allow the functionality to
exist without risking accidental changes.
