Locked Document

Somehow I turned on "read only", so now I get a locked document response, how
do I undo this?

If it is Read Only, you will be warned when opening the document. Is this
happening or are you able to open the document but unable to edit it? Have
you registered Word on line or is it a trial version that has expired?

Yes, I registered on line. Can not created or edit documents, I get a
modification is not allowed because document is locked. I think somewhere I
clicked on the lock icon.

One possibility is that you have somehow selected Tools, Protection and
protected the document? Try Tools, Unprotect. Does that work?
