Locked out of my "Maxtor" external HDD.

I have just reinstalled my WindowsXPpro and now I find that I cannot unlock
my Maxtor external HDD.

This was working OK before.

Can someone give me a few clues?

I'd suggest asking in a newsgroup related to Windows XP, such as
microsoft.public.windowsxp.hardware, or
microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support

This newsgroup is for questions about security in Access, the database
product that's part of Office Professional.
