locked selection

hi, i'm a new user of MS Office Word '07. i used it for a few times, and then
signed for a 90 day license, but now i can't modify anything on any document.
y can't even copy them or use any commands. it appears "this modification is
not allowed becouse the selection is blocked". can somebody tell me what to
do?
