Locked Template Created in Word 2003 Doesn't Work in Word 2000

Hi there:

I made a complicated template to use to follow my patients. When I lock the
Text Form Fields when working in a MS Word 2003 environment the thing works
well. When I do the same in a MS Word 2000 environment (template is saved in
MS Word 2000 format), if I have already opened a MS Word document using this
template and added text, then later use a computer with MS Word 2000 and try
to lock the form, I lose all of the text data already entered in. Is this a
bug?
