I posted this in the new user postings, but later decided
this would probably be a better place to post, so I
apologize for the duplicate posting.
We have a database that many people use on a server. This
server is backed up at approximately 8 or 8:30 every
night. On a rare occassion someone may still be here and
working in the database. This happened the other night
and caused database corruption. It wouldn't matter if we
change the backup time because at any given time
throughout the night the person on call to fix
applications may need to come in and refer to this
database. Is there a way to restrict access from opening
at a particular time for about an hour without effecting
the database or the backup?
TIA,
