Locking areas of a word document

Hello,

Can anyone help me. Is it possible to create a document that has areas
someone could write into ie text boxes and other areas that are locked
and cannot be written into? Im probably being very thick but would
appreciate anyhelp. I can't seem to find the soilution in the help
files.
