Locking Fields

I have had a long search for this question but to no avail. Can you lock
customised fields so users can't alter the formula. I think i know the answer
but I can always hope!

Thoughts so. Thanks very much. One other thing, is there anyway of sorting
threads in this discussion group by date?

It is sorted in date order, by thread. The original post is the sort key.
It is not possible to "Group By" date... example, if the original post was in
June 2008 and someone made a post today, you can't group for posts "today"
and have that one show up.

However, you may want to try some different news readers like Oema Reader,
or, NewsCommanderPro. They may have the ability to filter on dates.

Using Project Standard it is not possible, BUT using Project Pro and Project
Server you CAN lock the enterprise custom field look-up tables and formulas.
With Project Server, they are centrally controlled and ordinary users can
not change them
