I am working with a template in office 2007 I am trying to make it that
way
so that the font can not be changed and font size can not be changed but
the
user is still able to change text format like to bold and italic and also
aligment of text as in left right and justifyed text. Is this at all
possible
Yes this is possible. What you need to do is look into Manage Styles. On the
Home tab in the Styles group, click the dialog box launcher which will
display the Styles and Formatting task pane. The Manage Styles button is at
the bottom. Then select the Restrict tab. Set your style visibility, make
sure you include Strong and Emphasis so they can use these styles for bold
and italic formatting. For other formatting you need to either create a new
style or modify a built-in style to meet your needs. Make sure you select
"Limit formatting to permitting styles, turn on Block Theme and Quick Style
Set switching, and when you click OK you'll see a dialog box for protecting
the document. At this point all formatting must be done using your permitted
styles. To turn off the protection, on the Review tab use the Protect
Document command and the Restrict Formatting and Editing task pane. You can
also use the task pane to turn the formatting protection back on and modify
the style visibility as well.
