Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) I've been using 2008 for over a year now and just this has just started. When I go under view and click on to show my drawing toolbar it locks up my computer. I have to do a force quit to get out of Power Point. I have not update anything on my computer and Power Point works fine until I go to show my drawing toolbar then it locks up. I get the same problem with new or old power point files that have work fine in the past.

This started for me just this past week. Has anyone else having the same problem when viewing the drawing toolbar?

I'm currently using version 12.2.3

Seems to me I recall having seen this occur once in a while. The first step
is to make sure both Office & OS X are fully updated. Run Disk Utility -
Repair Disk Permissions then restart to see if it still happens.

If it does, Quit PPT, then go to the ~/User/Library/Preferences folder.
Rename or remove the file: com.microsoft.Powerpoint.plist, then launch the
program to see if it continues.

I'm currently running the latest version, no updates are available.

I renamed my power point pref in User/Library/Preferences folder.
(com.microsoft.Powerpoint.plis) and restarted the computer. It's still locking up when a click to display the drawing toolbar under the view tab.

OK, Tim, try this next:

Go to View> Customize Toolbars & Menus. On the Toolbars & Menus page click
the name of the Drawing toolbar then click the Reset button.

If that still doesn't fix it, go for the gusto :) by going a little deeper
in the prefs. Quit all Office apps then go to...

~/User/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008

Remove the file: PowerPoint Toolbars (12)

Hey C-Taz, Removing the PP toolbars (12) in my preference folder fixed it.>

Thanks for your help!! - Tim
