locking up when i hit SEND

i can prepare a new message but when i hit SEND the system locks up.
running version 2002.
if i reload Outlook will it loose all my saved messages?
any ideas on why things are locking me up???

I am having a similar problem to yours. I'm using Outlook 2003 sp2. I am
getting users saying that it locks up when trying to send, or it Outlook
locks up when they try to save or attach documents. Any info would be
helpful.
