Locking up with Word

I am having trouble with Office 2007 Word. Intermitently when I try to open
a Word document, the program will hangup for anywhere between 45-70 seconds.
Also, when replying to emails my spell checker in Outlook does not work and
or auto-correct. I am currently use MS Office 2007 Enterprise Edition. Any
suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Outlook no longer uses Word as its email editor - though it looks like it
does. In reality it uses a trimmed version of Word contained in its own
..dll. So you need to set up Outlook options separately from Word: probably
either the Spell checker is not enabled or the language need setting
correctly.

Word hanging on opening is probably because of a corrupt or incompatible
printer driver or possibly because Word cannot find a printer.
