Hi All,

MS Project Pro 2007, PS 2007, SP1, Dec Cum.

We can open/edit project plan in project center view by clicking Edit in
Toolbar,
but after i hit that button, i can't directly open project plan, there
always message
Login Failed. Project Could not connect to server.
Please check your username and password and try again.
After i hit OK Button, then i should re-login to access to MS Pro and after
that project plan also can't directly open, i should go to open then retrieve
the list of all project from project server than hit the project plan name..

why i can't directly open project plan using edit button in project center
view?

can someone assist me to do this....

thanks in advance

I would start by checking the settings in your project server accounts.
Open Project Pro
Go to "Tools" menu
Select "Enterprise Options" then "Microsoft Office Project Server Accounts"

Check the URL you are using. I'd also set it to Manually control connection
state and set the server you are connecting to as default

Then click OK and exit out of Project.

Then try again.

I have seen the same error couple of times. Please verify the following

1 - Make sure the URL in PWA and in Project Professional account must be the
same. I mean if you are using FQDN (i.e. http://epm.company.com/PWA) then
make sure you use the same long URL in existing Project Professional account
to be connect to Project server.

2- The PWA URL must be a Trusted site.

Hope it helps!
