LOGEST miscalculation when using INDIRECT...please help!!

I am using the LOGEST command and get miscalculations when I input data
fields as
RC[-10]:INDIRECT(RC[-2],FALSE)

The WORST part is that it calculates values, but they are OFF by a good bit.
Not that one can tell with the naked eye.

This method of inputting fields works fine with
AVERAGE(RC[-10]:INDIRECT(RC[-2],FALSE))

or similar functions, and the LOGEST command works fine if I directly input
the fields as opposed to using INDIRECT.

Can anyone help, or provide a 'workaround'
